Most carvings are life-sized originals hand carved from basswood and accurately painted with the finest artist acrylics to duplicate the natural pallet as would be found on the bird.  The birds have glass eyes and wire feet.

The base is designed to resemble a natural setting where one might discover the bird while hiking or simply relaxing in your own backyard.
